HOW PERSONALISED TESTING CAN HELP WOMEN MAKE MORE INFORMED DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR HEALTH
One of the questions I get asked regularly is:
“Why do you use the tests you do?”
Or sometimes:
“Why Zinzino?”
It’s a fair question.

WHY ZINZINO
It’s a fair question. Because if you’ve ever worked with me, you’ll know I’m not someone who believes there is one perfect solution for every woman. In fact, quite the opposite.
Over the years, I’ve built what I often call my toolkit.
Some women benefit from coaching.
Some benefit from acupuncture.
Some need support with sleep, stress, nutrition, movement or nervous system regulation.
Others need more clarity around what may be happening in their body before they know where to begin.
And now, through Healthy Habitz Hub, we’re bringing together even more ways to support women under one roof.
The reason I continue to add to that toolkit is simple:
I WANT WOMEN TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE BEST SUPPORT POSSIBLE.
And I want recommendations to be based on information, not assumptions.
WHY TESTING MATTERS
One of the biggest challenges in menopause is that many symptoms overlap.
One of the biggest challenges in menopause is that many symptoms overlap.
Women often come to me experiencing:
- fatigue
- brain fog
- poor sleep
- weight changes
- low mood
- joint aches
- anxiety
- feeling unlike themselves
It’s easy to assume hormones are the only reason.
And of course, hormonal change can play a significant role.
But symptoms can also be influenced by wider factors such as:
- sleep disruption
- stress load
- blood sugar patterns
- nutrient status
- gut health
- lifestyle habits
- nervous system overload
- recovery and resilience
And often, it’s a combination of several things.
That’s why I’m such a strong believer in testing where appropriate.
Not because testing gives every answer.
But because the more useful information we have, the more personalised and informed support can become.
THE SHIFT TOWARDS PERSONALISED MENOPAUSE SUPPORT
One of the strongest themes emerging in menopause care is the move towards more personalised support.
One of the strongest themes emerging in menopause care is the move towards more personalised support.
Two women can present with very similar symptoms, but have very different contributing factors.
One woman’s fatigue may be linked to poor sleep and stress.
Another’s may be influenced by nutritional status, blood sugar patterns or recovery.
A third may be dealing with several overlapping factors at once.
This is why I believe the future of menopause support needs to move away from:
“Take this because you’re menopausal.”
And towards:
“Let’s understand what may be happening in your body and support you accordingly.”
That feels like a much more respectful, informed and empowering approach.
WHY I PARTNER WITH ZINZINO
For transparency, I am a Zinzino Independent Partner.
Zinzino is one of several approaches and companies I work with. It is not the only tool I use, and I do not believe there is one perfect solution for every woman.
The reason I chose to partner with Zinzino is because I value:
- test-based nutrition
- independent laboratory analysis
- evidence-informed approaches
- product quality
- a focus on education and personalisation
Most importantly, I like that the conversation starts with information. Not assumptions. Not guesswork. And not simply handing every woman the same recommendation.
BALANCE TEST
Looking at omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid balance.
VITAMIN D TEST
Test Providing insight into vitamin D status.
GUT HEALTH TEST
Test Exploring selected markers linked with gut health and the microbiome.
HBA1C TEST
Test Helping us understand a longer-term blood glucose marker.
Together, these tests can provide useful pieces of the puzzle. Not all the answers. But often helpful clues that allow support to become more informed and personalised. It is important to say clearly that Zinzino products are nutritional products. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent menopause, symptoms or medical conditions.
Menopause symptoms can also overlap with other health concerns, so new, severe, persistent or worrying symptoms should always be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.
TIP OF THE WEEK: BECOME A HEALTH DETECTIVE
If you’ve tried different supplements, diets or recommendations but you’re not really sure what is helping, you are not alone.
If you’ve tried different supplements, diets or recommendations but you’re not really sure what is helping, you are not alone.
Many women arrive in midlife feeling as though they have gathered a drawer full of “good ideas”, but still do not have a clear plan.
One powerful shift is to start gathering information.
Begin to notice patterns in:
- sleep
- mood
- energy
- stress levels
- food intake
- movement
- hot flushes or night sweats
- digestion
- menstrual cycles, if you are still cycling
The more information you gather, the easier it becomes to spot connections.
Often the clues are already there.
We just have not been looking at them in a joined-up way.
You do not need to become obsessed with data.
But a little curiosity can be incredibly powerful.
WHERE TO START
If you are feeling confused by conflicting advice or unsure where to focus your efforts, support starts with understanding your body and your symptoms.
You can begin with:
FINAL THOUGHT
This week has reminded me that whether it is coaching, testing, nutrition, acupuncture or education, the goal is always the same:
To help women understand their bodies better.
Because when you understand what may be happening, you can make more informed choices.
And informed choices can support better next steps.
You do not have to guess your way through midlife.
You deserve clarity, support and a plan that sees the whole picture.
With you,
