LEARNING TO EMBRACE CHANGE

Why midlife isn't about becoming the person you used to be – it's about embracing the person you're becoming.

This week has been full of people. Some familiar. Some completely new. And it left me thinking about something I don't think we talk about enough.

It's okay to change.

The week started with a wonderful networking event, surrounded by inspiring women who were all passionate about what they do. I love hearing people's stories, understanding what drives them and seeing how incredible things can happen when women support one another.

One thing that really struck me, though, was how many people still don't know very much about menopause.

Because my social media is full of menopause education, it's easy to forget that not everyone is seeing the same information.

It reminded me why I do what I do.

My vision has always been to create a world where women feel informed, supported and empowered to thrive through perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

There is still so much work to do, but every conversation helps.

Jane and I also spent time at Healthy Habitz Hub, adding those finishing touches that slowly turn a building into a place where women feel welcomed, relaxed and supported. We're getting ready to launch some exciting new events over the coming weeks, and I honestly can't wait to share them with you.

Watching this little community grow is becoming one of my greatest joys.

EMBRACING THE SEASON

Then, at the weekend, I met up with a friend I hadn't seen for ten years.

We had a lovely time catching up, but it also made me realise something.

Years ago, I'd probably have stayed out all night, singing karaoke and hopping from one bar to the next.

This time, I enjoyed the laughter, stayed for a while… and then happily headed home.

Not because I felt old. Because I've changed.

The old me might have stayed because I felt I should.

The me now listens to what I actually need.

And that felt like progress.

Sunday brought another gentle reminder.

A peaceful yoga session with Julia in the beautiful Lost Barn in Cheshire, followed by a creative afternoon making cowboy hats with Jane at another networking event.

Completely different experiences.

Yet both filled my cup in different ways.

Perhaps that's what balance really looks like.

Not doing one thing perfectly.

But giving ourselves permission to enjoy what feels right for us now.

IN THE MENOPAUSE WORLD: WHY CONNECTION AND EDUCATION MATTER
One of the strongest themes emerging in menopause care is the importance of community, connection and education.

Research continues to show that strong social relationships are linked with better mental wellbeing, lower stress and improved quality of life—something that's especially important during perimenopause and menopause.

At the same time, awareness is growing that too many women are still reaching midlife without understanding why they're experiencing anxiety, poor sleep, brain fog or changes in confidence.

That tells me our work isn't finished.

Every conversation matters.

Every workshop matters.

Every woman who shares her story helps another woman feel less alone.
TIP OF THE WEEK: NOTICE WHAT FILLS YOUR CUP
Pain Point
Many women tell me:
"I don't feel like the person I used to be."
The things they once enjoyed don't always appeal.
Their energy feels different.
Their priorities have shifted.

One Simple Shift
Maybe you enjoy long walks more than late nights.
Maybe a coffee with one close friend feels better than a crowded room.
Maybe gentle movement nourishes you more than pushing yourself through another workout.
That doesn't mean you've lost yourself.
It might simply mean you're growing into a new version of yourself.
And that's something to celebrate.

WHY THIS MATTERS
Midlife often brings change.
Not just physically, but emotionally and socially too.
As our hormones shift, so can our values, our energy and the way we want to spend our time.
Rather than seeing those changes as something to fight against, perhaps we can see them as an invitation to get to know ourselves again.
The person you're becoming deserves just as much kindness as the person you've always been.

WHERE TO START
If you're feeling like you've changed and you're not quite sure why, you don't have to figure it out on your own.

You can start with:

Together, we'll help you understand what's happening in your body and create a plan that's right for you.

FINAL THOUGHT
This week reminded me that life isn't about trying to become the person we used to be.
It's about learning to appreciate the person we're becoming. So if your priorities have shifted...
If you're choosing peace over pressure...
If you're saying "yes" to the things that truly matter and "no" to the things that don't...
Know this.
You're not falling behind.
You're simply finding your way.

With you
